Cargo Claim:

A cargo claim is a written complaint demanding financial compensation from Saudi Airlines Cargo Co. for the loss of or damage or delay to cargo whilst in care and control pursuant to a contract of carriage.

Types of claims:

 In order for us to accept the claim, the written request must be submitted before the time limit   as shown below

Claim Type Description Time Limit
Damage To consignment whole or in part. 14 days from receiving consignment.
Partial loss Loss of part of the consignment. 14 days from receiving consignment.
Pilferage To consignment whole or in part 14 days from receiving consignment.
Delay Complete consignment or part of it 21 days from the placing date.
Lost Loss of whole consignment 120 days from the AWB issuing date

Requirements for completion of claim:

To assure quick finalization of your claim, kindly include the following documents when sending in your claim letter.

  1. Copy of the AIR WAYBILL NUMBER
  2. Claimed amount and effected weight by kilograms.
  3. Survey Report in case of damage
  4. Packing list: A document that lists the quantity and weight of the items in each box. For personal effects shipments, the value of each item should also be listed.
  5. Repair or part replacement bill: If the damaged goods were repairable, provide the receipt for repair.

For all Freight Forwarders and Insurance Companies:

In case no payment has been done yet, statement from claimant authorizing you to act on his behalf is a must. Otherwise, in addition to the above documents, please submit the following documents:

  1. House Air Waybill
  2. Delivery record copy
  3. Settlement draft
  4. Proof of payment to the ultimate consignee
  5. Subrogation receipt

Please note that the receiving date of your request will be considered in the calculation of the time limit not the letter date.  
In order for you to reserve your right to claim for two years, we advise you to submit your intend to claim letter immediately after discovering the damage, missing or delay of the shipment.
