Saudia Cargo Wins Award for Operational Excellence in Cargo Operations and Supply Chain Support for 2026

Saudia Cargo, the leading national air cargo carrier, has been named ‘Air Cargo Operator of the Year 2026’ at the Logistics & Transport Awards, which celebrates organizations that have successfully adopted advanced technologies, streamlined supply chains, and implemented sustainable practices.
This crowning achievement comes as a tribute to the company’s continuous growth and an appreciation of its operational excellence, its constant efforts to develop its fleet and global presence, and its strategic agility in dealing with challenges and global trade disruptions, confirming its pivotal role as a logistics enabler dedicated to providing reliable air cargo services.
In light of the challenges witnessed by maritime shipping lines and waterways in the region, Saudia Cargo took the initiative to leverage its strategic operations centers in Riyadh and Jeddah to ensure the continuous flow of shipments and trade movement. With a freighter on-time performance exceeding 90%, it affirmed its ability to provide cargo capacities that enhance connectivity between Asia, Europe, and global markets.
Meanwhile, the launch of “the Sea-to-Air Logistics Corridor" last March in cooperation with the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) constituted a proactive strategic solution. Saudia Cargo worked to transform shipments arriving via the West Coast ports, starting with Jeddah Islamic Port, into a rapid air bridge, which contributed to reducing transit time.
The award reflects the response the company has shown in dealing with the growing demand for its services, as Saudia Cargo announced last July a strategic agreement to purchase four new Boeing 777-200 freighters, with the delivery of the first aircraft starting during the fourth quarter of this year, in addition to introducing two Airbus A330-300 aircraft into the company's fleet. The company also announced in recent weeks the launch of a regular and direct cargo route between Riyadh and Melbourne in Australia, with a capacity exceeding 100 tons per flight to open new commercial horizons, a continuation of its strong performance which saw the transport of more than 570,000 tons of cargo last year.
These achievements and awards form a strong foundation from which Saudia Cargo launches towards a new phase of global growth and expansion, enhancing its role in connecting global markets and enabling trade movement, in a way that supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy to consolidate the Kingdom**'s position** as a global logistics hub.
